Village savings and loan associations (VSLAs) have proved to be one of Uganda’s most
effective measures of economic empowerment today. Nabukalu CarePoint focuses on
strengthening groups in the community through training and offering financial support to all
the saving groups that are fully registered and active. Expected outcomes of the project
include establishing small businesses and easy access to small loans leading to economic
independence and security. The project will target 500 guardians and community members.
