The goal of the Kakira CarePoint Livestock Rearing project is to enhance wealth creation through rearing of goats and pigs. Eventually, it will culminate in improved income in beneficiary households. The project will be revolving in nature so that many people can benefit from its returns. To start, the CarePoint will purchase local goats and improved breed he-goats to cross breed with Indigenous ones, thus changing the profit margin, production capacity, and growth period. All 194 children at Kakira CarePoint will receive an animal for rearing.
