Aware CarePoint is a drop-in center where orphaned and vulnerable children can receive holistic care. Located in Yeka Sub City of Addis Ababa, Aware serves approximately 150 children who come from underprivileged families.
Overall, the area is comprised of low-income households that are unable to cover basic needs or school fees for their children. Poor sanitation, unsafe water, overcrowded living environments, and deteriorated environmental conditions are some of the major challenges in this area.
The goals of Aware include improving the educational performance of children, providing support for the basic necessities of life (food, sanitation, basic healthcare), and offering counseling support for those who are affected with HIV/AIDS.
With the partnership of Evergreen Ministries, the children at Aware CarePoint have the opportunity to grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally while the Evergreen Ministries community also experiences positive transformation!
