Woliso is located approximately seventy miles Southwest of Ethiopia’s capital city of Addis Ababa.
Access to safe water, adequate healthcare, and an education is rare for many of the impoverished children and families who inhabit this region. The cycle of poverty continues to plague the community; however, Woliso Emmanuel United Church has the opportunity to intervene in the lives of the children and to make an impact in the community. Woliso CarePoint is part of the Woliso Emmanuel United Church and serves as a drop-in center — a safe place where vulnerable children can come for support, discipleship, and other types of assistance.
With the partnership of the Kristen Pillitteri and Lacey Yantis Connect Community, the children at Woliso CarePoint have the opportunity to grow physically, spiritually, and emotionally while the Kristen Pillitteri and Lacey Yantis Connect Community also experiences positive transformation!
