Advocating For Obwobwo Graduates
Hi! I’m Marissa!
I’m a third-year college student studying to become a teacher. Last year, I had the life-changing opportunity to travel to Obwobwo CarePoint in Uganda, where I witnessed the joy and pride of graduation day firsthand.
That experience inspired me to advocate for the graduates at Obwobwo CarePoint! These young people deserve the resources, support, and opportunities they need to succeed after graduation—whether it’s further education, tools for work, or pathways to build strong, independent futures.
I’m passionate about ensuring that every graduate has the foundation to thrive. With your help, we can provide them with the start-up tools and resources they need to reach their full potential!
My goal is to raise $5,000 by the end of this year toward start-up tools for these graduates.
Will you join me?
What Your Donation Supports: Start-Up Tools for Graduates
At CarePoints in Uganda, young people receive vocational training in a variety of trades—carpentry, tailoring, agriculture, and more. This training equips them with both the skills to perform a trade and the business knowledge needed to start and grow a career. Once they demonstrate proficiency and readiness, the “Start-Up Tools” program gives them the practical resources to turn their skills into livelihoods.
Your support enables these graduates to become self-sufficient, lifting themselves and their families out of poverty while contributing to their communities. These tools are more than just equipment—they’re the foundation for a future full of potential!
Your donation will go towards:
- Vocational tools specific to each graduate’s trade (e.g., carpentry tools, sewing machines, etc.)
- Start-up capital to help them get their business off the ground
- Graduation ceremony expenses to celebrate their achievements and inspire the community
